Peru Cajamarca OlgaSuarez is a coffee with a strong story and an even stronger taste. High in the mountains of Cajamarca, this organic Arabica grows on fertile soils and high altitudes, where the combination of climate and craftsmanship comes together perfectly. The coffee offers an elegant and soft taste profile, with refined notes of caramel and ripe yellow fruits. What makes this coffee really special is OlgaSuarez's commitment. While her coffee used to disappear into anonymous blends, she took matters into her own hands in 2004 by investing in her own processing installations. This gave her complete control over quality and expression. Today we understand why: this coffee is pure, careful and exceptionally refined. A wonderful choice for those who love honest specialty coffee with depth, origin and elegance in every sip.

Years ago, Olga Suarez, like many other coffee farmers in Peru, sold her annual harvest to local ones

middlemen and saw her carefully cared for Caturra and Catuai cherries disappear into anonymous regional blends.

This was the norm at the time: farmers took their coffee to the nearest mill, accepted payment and went home

without any idea where their beans went or how they were used. Although these blends were considered solid

considered, there was always a nagging feeling that some truly exceptional coffees were getting lost in the mix.

However, Olga knew that her coffee was something special. The rich soil, the unique microclimate and the

Her farm's elevated location provided perfect conditions for the production of cherries

were full, sweet and full of flavour. Olga was known in her community for her skill

agriculture and was determined to unleash the true potential of its coffee and that

to share with the world.

In 2004 she took a leap of faith. With secure financing

she invested in processing equipment from Penagos and built a small mill on her

farm. This bold decision was a game-changer and gave Olga complete control over the

processing her coffee. For the first time, she could ensure that every step was her dedication

reflected quality.

Today, Olga's vision has come to fruition. She processes her own coffee

not only with precision, but also uses her expertise to help her neighbors. Since 2019 we have

the privilege of sourcing coffee exclusively from her farm – a breathtaking example of this

deliberate cultivation. Under a dense canopy of shade, her Typica, Catuai and Caturra trees thrive,

and every step of production is carried out with the utmost care.

The result? Coffee that downright

is extraordinary. In fact, we believe Olga's coffee is among the best Peru has to offer!

Peru has exceptional promise as a producer of high-quality coffees. The country is the world's largest

largest exporter of organic Arabica coffee. With extremely high altitudes and fertile soils, the

the country's small farmers also produce some stunning specialty coffees.
