Peter Deprez
As a child he once bought an old coffee grinder at the flea market and the spark flew. That one showpiece became an entire museum and Peter passionately followed in the footsteps of father Fernand. He learned how to roast coffee from him. And how…
He can now call himself a two-time Belgian barista champion, has already represented our country at the World Cup and now has a new mission: to give tea the attention it deserves.
Bart Deprez
He received his education at the Hotel School in Koksijde. Hospitality and customer service hold no secrets for him. He once dreamed of running a hotel in the States, but developed his love for the international in a different way. Bart has been a valued board member of the World Specialty Coffee Organization for many years. The global trends he identifies not only sharpen Viva Sara's sights. It also creates coffee friends all over the world.
Fernand Deprez
Credit where credit is due, it was father Fernand who paved the way for his sons.
In 1987, he left a certain job in the construction sector for a mission: to bring coffee closer to the general public. He opens the Kortrijks Koffiehuis in the Leiestraat to take over the iconic Sara Koffie for a few years. The Viva Sara train has finally left. Now Fernand still looks critically but proudly over the shoulders of his sons.
Catherine Deprez-Pattyn
Although her stature does not immediately suggest this, we can safely say that mother Catherine can be called the grande lady of coffee. Stylish point of contact for customers in the shop, discreet sounding board for her sons, passionate driving force behind Viva Sara's social projects; It is clear that coffee and tea do not leave Catherine either...
Nancy
A permanent fixture within Viva Sara for many years. Since the takeover of Sara Koffie by the Deprez family, Nancy has been part of the story. What started in production grew into an indispensable role at the heart of the roastery.
Today she ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes: orders are correct, customers are heard and colleagues who can count on her. Nancy is without a doubt the beating heart of the daily operations.
Valerie
Anyone who enters the shop in Kortrijk will be welcomed with open arms by Valérie. As shop manager, she is the warm face of Viva Sara in the city.
With her enthusiasm and eye for detail, she guides every customer in the search for the perfect coffee or tea. Whether you are an expert or just fancy something new, Valérie makes every visit an experience that will linger.
Véronique
Behind every label, every brochure and every visual line of Viva Sara lies Véronique's creative hand. She watches over the image we convey, down to the smallest details.
From packaging to webshop: everything you see passes through her eye for shape, color and harmony. Thanks to her, the story of Viva Sara not only gets flavor, but also a face.
Arne
What started behind the bar as a barista grew into a passion for the entire coffee process. Today, Arne is at the helm of the roasting company and supports the Deprez brothers in roasting our coffees. He watches over every batch with a keen eye for quality and a nose for perfection. From green bean to finished product: Arne ensures that every cup of coffee meets the standard that Viva Sara stands for.
Stephanie
While Arne and the team roast the coffee, Stéphanie ensures that everything is neatly and carefully packaged. She helps with great precision in finishing our products and preparing orders. Thanks to her efforts, our coffees leave our customers on time and in perfect condition. A silent force that ensures that everything reaches the customer as it should.
Every
In Vichte, Elke is the driving force behind our tea production. She packs our teas every day with care and attention, for private individuals, catering and private label customers.
Her accuracy and dedication ensure that every blend comes out perfectly. Behind every cup of tea there is a piece of her work and passion.
Alex
Alex is a familiar face on the track and in the warehouse. As a driver and warehouseman, he ensures that everything gets to the right place, at the right time. From deliveries to logistics: Alex keeps everything moving. Thanks to him, our coffees and teas easily find their way to customers, partners and shops.
