Papua New Guinea Sigri is an elegant and refined coffee with a complex aromatic profile and a bright, fresh acidity. In the cup you will recognize fruity notes with a subtle hint of apple, combined with a soft body and a delicate structure.

This coffee has a unique history and is closely related to the famous Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee. The seeds were introduced in the 1930s to the highlands of Papua New Guinea, where they developed into a unique, characterful coffee.

The combination of altitude, climate and traditional cultivation methods creates a coffee that combines finesse and complexity in a balanced and accessible experience.

Sigri Estate, located in the Waghi Valley in the Western Highlands, is one of Papua New Guinea's most renowned coffee producers.

Coffee cultivation in this region largely takes place on small village plantations, often consisting of several hundred trees per family. These farmers work in a traditional way, without the use of fertilizers or chemical pesticides, and carry out maintenance manually.

The Sigri coffee has a special origin: the plants are derived from Jamaica Blue Mountain, which contributes to the elegant and balanced character of this coffee.

Papua New Guinea is located in Oceania and consists of a large island region with hundreds of smaller islands. Coffee cultivation was introduced relatively late, but has developed into an important agricultural activity.

More than 70% of coffee production comes from small family farms, ensuring a strong focus on traditional and natural production methods.

Coffees from Papua New Guinea are known for their complexity, fresh acidity and balance, often with fruity and elegant characteristics.
